Fastmap is a HTTPD plugin that allows for the transfer of the BZW map file over HTTP instead of sending it through the game client. Sending it through the client is limited to 1kb per lag time, which causes large maps to take a long time to download. Fastmap automatically sets the map's HTTP url to the server, allowing for a much faster download of the map file (hence the name, Fastmap).

The plugin requires the [[HTTPServer plugin]] to either be in the same directory as fastmap.so, or to be previously loaded. Unlike other HTTPD plugins, Fastmap does not create a vdir.

Webadmin

webadmin is a standard [[Plug-ins|plug-in]] that is shipped with the [[BZFlag Source|source code]]. It allows for server management via a standard web browser interface (HTTP). Webadmin is included in [[BZFlag 2.99.5|v3.0]] and later releases. Webadmin is currently under development.

==Usage==
When the Webadmin is loaded it must have take a [[Plug-ins#Parameters|parameter]] that tells the system where the html templates are. The default templates dir is ./ (current working dir). Since webadmin is an HTTPD plug-in the [[HTTPServer(plugin)|HTTPServer plugin]] must be in the same directory as webadmin, or have been previously loaded.

The usage is:

-loadplugin the/path/to/the/plugin/webadmin,the/path/to/the/templates

or in an already running game:

*Tanks: The map is known for having two giant-sized tanks, shaped like the standard tank the player drives in and sees on the map, which act as a base for each team. Each team's capture point is located on the back of the tank, and there is a teleporter on the back that goes to the ground nearby. You can also drive through the wall to get to the front of the tank/tank cannon, which will send you to the enemy's tank. There are also stairs at the very back of the tank to allow you to climb up/down.

*Center circle: There is a floating circle in the center of the map which houses [[ShockWave]] flags.

*Walls, Platforms and Pyramids: There are lots of these throughout the map which make he map a very good tactical laser sniping ground.

*Highway: In jumping distance from each tank is a highway which will allow the player to rapidly access the enemy tank. Stealth flags are located at the first platform on the highway.

*Castles: These contain the team base and sniping areas. There are GM sniping areas on the first and second floors. The third floor is the team base and laser sniping area. There are two towers on each castle, accessed by [[teleporter]]s on the first level. A narrow bridge connects the castles at the second floor. The third floor contains "battlements" to dodge behind in case of an incoming bullet.

*Pyramids: There are eight pyramids placed on the ground to stop laser [[ricochet]] from getting out of hand.

*Central building: In the middle, it is a raised, roughly octagon shaped platform with walls placed at every diagonal, reaching down to the ground and rising above the platform. There are two closed-in tunnels under the platform for safer travel between the castles.

*Other objects: These include four raised platforms located in the corners of the map and two low walls with gaps in the middle and sides.

The two main ways for destroying enemies is sniping from the team base castle. Most players that get the enemy flag go across the bridge, but the safest way is through the tunnel. Wings is useful for killing enemy GM snipers in towers. You have to identify players (press i) before you shoot a guided missile because it is unusually easy to shoot teammates instead of enemies. (3 [[Team Kill | team kills]]=kick).

* Spawn-camping:
After a teammate captures the flag, you can aim at the enemy base with laser to instantly kill the tanks that come out.

* Camping with a Stealth:
After you get a stealth, go to the enemy base and jump to the first or second floor, wait at one end and then kill any tanks that respawn there. Camping on the third floor is a bit hard because it is open, so you are more at risk of getting killed.

* Camping with a Shockwave:
After you get a shockwave, go below the enemy base, and fire. If you want to kill the enemies on all the levels (except towers) jump and then fire. You can only have three shots, so be careful not to waste them (or kill your teammates).

* Base camping:
Base camping at the enemy base is only useful '''when all enemies are away from the third floor and your team is about to capture the enemy flag'''. Otherwise, it is dangerous (to you) and ineffective.

* Camping at tunnels with laser:
You can get laser and go to one of the tunnels to wait for enemies to come, and once they're inside they're basically dead (if you are at an angle small enough to the entrance of the tunnel).

* Although the team flag is usually auto-placed on its team base once is is captured, sometimes it appears somewhere near the enemy base as a "indication" that the enemy has made several captures in a row.

* You do not get kicked for lag, jitter or packet loss.

* There are no bad superflags in Castle Warfare.

* In the GM sniping areas you cannot kill any tanks in other GM sniping areas on different floors.

* [[Team Kill | Team killing]] is much more possible (and much more enforced) than on most other servers.

==Description==
Some main features of the map are listed here. (The map is exactly symmetrical).

===Objects===
*Castles: These contain the team base and sniping areas. There are GM sniping areas on the first and second floors. The third floor is the team base and laser sniping area. There are two towers on each castle, accessed by [[teleporter]]s on the first level. A narrow bridge connects the castles at the second floor. The third floor contains "battlements" to dodge behind in case of an incoming bullet.

*Pyramids: There are eight pyramids placed on the ground to stop laser [[ricochet]] from getting out of hand.

*Central building: In the middle, it is a raised, roughly octagon shaped platform with walls placed at every diagonal, reaching down to the ground and rising above the platform. There are two closed-in tunnels under the platform for safer travel between the castles.

*Other objects: These include four raised platforms located in the corners of the map and two low walls with gaps in the middle and sides.

===Flags===

*[[Flag List | Laser]] and [[Flag List | Guided Missile]]: Laser is found most frequently on the third floor, with GM on the first and second floor, but they are still found in most places including on the ground. These are the most common [[Flag List#Good Superflags|superflag]]s.

*[[Flag List | Stealth]] and [[Flag List | Cloaking]]: Found on the ground below the castles but still sometimes found on castles.

*[[Flag List | Thief]]: Found in the middle, below central building.

The two main ways for destroying enemies is sniping from the team base castle. Most players that get the enemy flag go across the bridge, but the safest way is through the tunnel. Wings is useful for killing enemy GM snipers in towers. You have to identify players (press i) before you shoot a guided missile because it is unusually easy to shoot teammates instead of enemies. (3 [[Team Kill | team kills]]=kick).

'''[[Camping]]''' (spawn-camping, base-camping, etc) like in [[Bloodbath]], is a significant part of the game's strategy. Here are a few tips:

* Spawn-camping:
After a teammate captures the flag, you can aim at the enemy base with laser to instantly kill the tanks that come out.

* Camping with a Stealth:
After you get a stealth, go to the enemy base and jump to the first or second floor, wait at one end and then kill any tanks that respawn there. Camping on the third floor is a bit hard because it is open, so you are more at risk of getting killed.

* Camping with a Shockwave:
After you get a shockwave, go below the enemy base, and fire. If you want to kill the enemies on all the levels (except towers) jump and then fire. You can only have three shots, so be careful not to waste them (or kill your teammates).

* Base camping:
Base camping at the enemy base is only useful '''when all enemies are away from the third floor and your team is about to capture the enemy flag'''. Otherwise, it is dangerous (to you) and ineffective.

* Camping at tunnels with laser:
You can get laser and go to one of the tunnels to wait for enemies to come, and once they're inside they're basically dead (if you are at an angle small enough to the entrance of the tunnel).

* Although the team flag is usually auto-placed on its team base once is is captured, sometimes it appears somewhere near the enemy base as a "indication" that the enemy has made several captures in a row.

* You do not get kicked for lag, jitter or packet loss.

* There are no bad superflags in Castle Warfare.

* In the GM sniping areas you cannot kill any tanks in other GM sniping areas on different floors.

* [[Team Kill | Team killing]] is much more possible (and much more enforced) than on most other servers.

3 shots between reload, 12 shots for laser, 15 shots for wings, unlimited GM shots, 2.0 seconds reload time, [[Team Kill | team killers]] are eventually kicked, [[lag]], [[packetloss]] and [[jitter]] are warned of.

TorBlock is a standard [[Plug-ins|plug-in]] that is shipped with the [[BZFlag Source]] code. It automatically bans any user that joins the game who uses the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tor_%28anonymity_network%29 TOR anonymity network].

TorBlock was added in to the [[BZFlag 2.0.9|2.0.9]] CVS source code on 12/20/06, and will be released as part of [[BZFlag 3.0]] when it is released.

==Usage==
When loaded TorBlock loads up the TOR master IP list from [http://moria.seul.org:9032/tor/status/authority http://moria.seul.org:9032/tor/status/authority], and will from then on disconnect all users from any of those IP addresses. the TOR network is not intended for game play use and is generally only used in BZFlag for [[Server Spamming]] or other disruptive effects. TorBlock will automatically update it's ban list every hour with new IPs. TorBlock works independently of the built in [[Banfile]] capability of [[BZFS]] so it will automatically allow users from blocked IPs as soon as they are removed from the TOR master list.

==History==
TorBlock was the first plug-in to do a dynamic ban feature that pulled from a central web repository. It was made in response to a Tor Based attack on the popular game servers.
