For information on map creation, see Map making

Maps (otherwise known as worlds) are the universe that a player exists in while playing BZFlag. It is downloaded when logging into a server, and cannot change while the game is in progress.

Map Making

Maps are text files, but they may be made with an editor such as BZEdit or pyBZEdit. A plugin also exists for Blender that allows import and export in world format.

Hosting a map

Maps can be hosted by specifying them command-line to the server, then connecting with a client. Info on running servers can be found at BZFS.
