'''BZFlag''' requires the use of tactics for one to be successful as a player.

==Overview==

Tactics vary greatly based on map style and game modes which are present on the server. The settings which effect players the most are ricochets, jump, game mode, and shot amount. Several maps require specific tactics and methods for allowing one to be successful. A players skill can be enhanced by improving configurations, such as altering the [[Key Mapping|key mapping]] for radar and shots so that it is easier for one to fire and cycle through radar while playing. This can lead to an advantage vs players who have not altered the default settings in the configurations. In order for one to be a good player, one must be able to know which tactics one must use based on every map and setting. One must know what is an effective counter for each tactic an opponent uses and when to adjust to a different tactic.
